Description
Industrial Immersible Ultrasonic Transducer Systems
Submersible Ultrasonic Transducer Plates & Generators for Tank Integration
Immersible ultrasonic transducer plates allow the conversion of standard liquid tanks, wash basins, and chemical process vessels into industrial ultrasonic cleaning systems. Designed for new builds and retrofit installations, these hermetically sealed packs mount into cleaning tanks without requiring complete vessel replacement.
Each plate integrates an array of 50 W industrial-grade piezoelectric transducers bonded to heavy-gauge stainless steel. Powered by an external digital generator, the system delivers continuous acoustic cavitation for industrial degreasing, rust removal, surface preparation, dispersion, defoaming, and chemical extraction.

Multi-Plate Process Tank Layout
In large treatment tanks, multiple immersible transducer plates can operate simultaneously to establish uniform acoustic energy distribution. Combining base-mounted and wall-mounted packs eliminates acoustic shadow zones, ensuring cavitation reaches inner cavities, blind holes, and densely racked components throughout the entire fluid volume.
Tank Mounting Configurations
Immersible transducer plates support six standard installation methods to suit different tank geometries and mechanical handling setups:
- Base-Mounted with Over-the-Rim Conduit: The transducer plate rests on the tank bottom and radiates upward. The conduit extends over the upper tank rim.
- Single-Sidewall Mounted with Over-the-Rim Conduit: The plate hangs vertically along one tank wall, maintaining clear floor area for sludge settlement and draining.
- Dual-Sidewall Opposed Mounting: Two plates face inward from opposite walls, directing cavitation into the central cleaning zone from both sides.
- Base-Mounted with Bottom Bulkhead Penetration: The unit rests on the floor, and the conduit exits through a sealed penetration in the base plate.
- Sidewall-Mounted with Direct Bulkhead Penetration: The plate mounts flush to the tank wall with wiring exiting through a sealed side fitting, eliminating overhead pipework.
- Top-Down Suspension: The transducer pack suspends near the liquid surface and radiates downward into the bath.
Conduit and Cable Egress Configurations
Four conduit termination styles ensure leak-tight integration across open-top and enclosed tanks:
- Rigid Pipe Conduit: Fixed stainless steel pipe curved over the tank wall, serving as both a conduit chase and a structural mounting hook.
- Flexible Armored Conduit: Braided stainless steel protective hose providing flexible routing around obstacles and vessel frames.
- Submerged Bulkhead Lock Nut: Threaded bulkhead fitting providing a mechanical liquid seal through the tank sidewall.
- Base Bulkhead Lock Nut: Direct base-penetration fitting for clean routing beneath the tank structure.
Operating Frequency Selection & Applications
Frequency Selection
- 28 kHz (Heavy-Duty Processing): Produces larger cavitation bubbles with high mechanical impact upon collapse. Best suited for heavy grease removal, carbon deposit cleaning, rust removal, engine component refurbishment, and heavy cast iron or steel parts.
- 40 kHz (General & Precision Cleaning): Generates higher bubble density with gentler impact. Recommended for precision machined parts, electronic assemblies, printed circuit boards, optical lenses, medical instruments, and fine instrumentation.
Key Process Applications
- Industrial Degreasing & Rust Stripping: Removes machining oils, polishing pastes, carbon, and surface oxidation.
- Sample Dispersion & Dissolution: Accelerates dissolution of powders and facilitates uniform liquid dispersion.
- Liquid Defoaming & Degassing: Merges micro-bubbles in viscous liquids to expel entrained air from resins, inks, and coatings.
- Sonochemical Extraction & Emulsification: Disrupts cell structures for botanical extraction and stabilizes immiscible liquids.
Production & Assembly Standards
- Industrial Transducer Matching: Transducers are frequency-matched before adhesive bonding and stud welding to equalize current distribution.
- Hermetic TIG Enclosures: All casing seams are fully TIG-welded to prevent liquid penetration under sustained hydrostatic pressure.
- Plate Durability: Built from 2.0 mm SUS304 as standard, with optional 2.5 mm SUS316, hard chrome plating, or titanium for corrosive environments.
- Full-Load Testing: Transducer packs undergo submerged acoustic output verification and insulation testing prior to dispatch.
Packaging & Transport Protection
- Transducer Plates: Sealed in waterproof plastic wrap, padded with high-density edge foam, and packed inside heavy-duty wooden export crates.
- Digital Generators: Packed separately in multi-layer corrugated export cartons with custom foam end-caps.
Quality Certification & Operating Guidelines
Quality & Safety Compliance
- Quality Management: ISO 9001:2015 certified production
- Product Compliance: CE, RoHS, and FCC compliant
- Inspection Protocol: Full factory testing and electrical insulation verification
Operating Guidelines
- Fluid Level: The transducer plate must be completely submerged before powering on. Dry operation will permanently damage the piezoelectric elements.
- Workpiece Spacing: Maintain a minimum distance of 2 mm between parts and the radiating face to prevent uneven wear and transducer overload.
- Chemical Compatibility: Use mild, water-soluble detergents with SUS304 units. For strong acid or alkali baths, specify SUS316, titanium, or hard chrome plating.
- Duty Cycle & Heat Management: For continuous heavy-load operations, implement periodic pauses (at least 3 minutes) to allow heat dissipation from internal components.
- Generator Placement: Install the external digital generator in a dry, ventilated area away from liquid spray and corrosive fumes.
