Description
Industrial Immersible Ultrasonic Transducer Systems
Modular Submersible Transducer Plates & Digital Generators for Industrial Tanks
Immersible ultrasonic transducer plates allow the conversion of existing wash tanks, process vessels, and dipping baths into industrial ultrasonic cleaning stations. These sealed modular units eliminate the cost of replacing entire tank installations during system upgrades.
Each unit features an array of 50 W industrial-grade piezoelectric transducers welded to a heavy-gauge stainless steel plate. Driven by an external digital generator, the assembly delivers cavitation energy directly into the fluid for degreasing, rust stripping, carbon removal, liquid defoaming, dispersion, and extraction.

Multi-Plate Tank Configuration
Large industrial cleaning vessels require balanced acoustic power distribution across the entire volume. Multiple immersible plates can be positioned on the base and opposing sidewalls to prevent cavitation shadow zones. This multi-pack layout ensures acoustic energy reaches recessed internal passages, deep blind holes, and densely stacked components.
Tank Installation Methods
Immersible ultrasonic transducer plates support six standard mounting configurations:
- Bottom Mounting with Top Conduit Egress: The unit sits on the tank floor and radiates upward. The conduit extends up and over the tank rim.
- Single Sidewall Mounting with Top Conduit Egress: The unit hangs vertically against one tank wall, leaving the tank floor open for sediment collection and drainage.
- Dual Sidewall Opposed Mounting: Transducer plates mount on opposing tank walls, directing acoustic energy into the center of the bath from both sides.
- Bottom Mounting with Base Bulkhead Egress: The transducer plate rests on the tank floor with the cable exiting directly through a sealed bulkhead fitting in the tank bottom.
- Sidewall Mounting with Sidewall Bulkhead Egress: The plate mounts against the wall with the cable passing through a sealed penetration in the lower tank wall.
- Top-Down Suspension: The unit is suspended near the liquid surface and radiates downward into the cleaning solution.
Conduit and Cable Egress Types
Four conduit connection types accommodate open-top tanks and pressurized or enclosed vessels:
- Rigid Pipe Conduit: Solid stainless steel riser pipe that acts as a structural hanger over the tank wall while shielding electrical wiring.
- Flexible Armored Conduit: Braided stainless steel protective hose providing flexible cable routing around structural obstacles.
- Sidewall Bulkhead Fitting: Threaded lock nut fitting creating a liquid-tight seal directly through the tank wall.
- Bottom Bulkhead Fitting: Threaded through-tank compression nut for low-profile cable egress beneath the tank structure.
Frequency Selection & Process Applications
Frequency Selection
- 28 kHz (Heavy-Duty Processing): Generates large cavitation bubbles with strong mechanical impact upon collapse. Used for heavy grease removal, carbon deposit cleaning, rust stripping, engine block refurbishment, and raw cast parts.
- 40 kHz (Precision & General Cleaning): Produces higher bubble density with uniform cavitation distribution. Used for precision machined components, electronic parts, printed circuit boards, optical lenses, medical instruments, and fine mechanical assemblies.
Process Applications
- Industrial Degreasing & Rust Stripping: Removes machining oils, heavy lubricants, polishing compounds, and surface oxides.
- Mixing & Dissolution: Accelerates powder dissolution and facilitates liquid dispersion in chemical processing.
- Liquid Defoaming & Degassing: Removes entrapped air bubbles from resins, coatings, and viscous solutions.
- Sonochemical Extraction & Emulsification: Breaks down cell matrices for natural compound extraction and stabilizes liquid-liquid emulsions.
Industrial Construction Standards
- Piezoelectric Transducer Arrays: Transducers are matched by resonance frequency and bolted to stud-welded mounts with high-strength bonding adhesive.
- Hermetic TIG-Welded Enclosure: Casing joints are welded with automated TIG processes to ensure leak-free integrity under continuous hydrostatic pressure.
- Corrosion Resistance Options: Standard units use 2.0 mm SUS304 stainless steel. Severe chemical environments can use 2.5 mm SUS316, hard chrome plating, or titanium.
- Factory Testing: Each completed pack undergoes insulation testing, water immersion testing, and acoustic power validation before shipping.
Packaging & Transport Protection
- Transducer Plates: Wrapped in waterproof protective film, buffered with high-density edge foam, and secured inside reinforced wooden export crates.
- Digital Generators: Packed separately in multi-layer corrugated export cartons with shock-absorbing foam inserts.
Quality Certification & Operating Guidelines
Certifications
- Quality Management: ISO 9001:2015 certified production facility
- Compliance Standards: CE, RoHS, and FCC certified
- Safety Protocols: Verified electrical insulation and pressure-tight enclosures
Operating Requirements
- Submersion: Liquid must fully cover the transducer plate before turning on power. Dry operation causes immediate failure of piezoelectric elements.
- Workpiece Clearance: Keep parts at least 2 mm away from the radiating face of the plate to prevent point wear and maintain uniform cavitation.
- Chemical Compatibility: Use neutral or mild water-soluble detergents with SUS304 enclosures. For strong acid or alkali baths, select SUS316 or titanium construction.
- Duty Cycle & Heat Management: The digital generator supports continuous industrial duty. For extended operation cycles, provide intermittent breaks of at least 3 minutes to dissipate internal heat.
- Generator Protection: Mount the generator in a dry, ventilated cabinet away from moisture, chemical vapors, and liquid splashing.
