Description
Industrial Immersible Ultrasonic Transducer Systems
Modular Submersible Ultrasonic Transducer Plates & Digital Generators
Immersible ultrasonic transducer plates allow standard liquid process tanks, wash basins, and chemical baths to function as heavy-duty ultrasonic cleaning systems. Designed for retrofit and new tank construction, these sealed submersible modules eliminate the expense of replacing existing tank infrastructure.
Each assembly contains industrial-grade 50 W piezoelectric transducers bonded to heavy-gauge stainless steel plate. Powered by an external digital ultrasonic generator, the assembly delivers high-intensity cavitation directly into the liquid bath to achieve uniform degreasing, rust stripping, particulate removal, liquid defoaming, and sonochemical processing.

Multi-Plate Tank Configurations
Large industrial tanks require balanced acoustic energy distribution throughout the fluid volume. Multiple transducer plates can be mounted simultaneously on the tank bottom and opposite sidewalls. This multi-plate layout distributes acoustic energy evenly across the fluid bath, eliminating acoustic dead zones and ensuring cavitation reaches blind holes, threaded surfaces, and dense parts baskets.
Six Standard Installation Configurations
The modular transducer plates support six primary mounting configurations to match tank geometry and material handling requirements:
- Base Mount with Top Cable Egress: The unit sits on the tank floor facing upward, with conduit running up the inner wall and over the tank rim.
- Single Sidewall Mount with Top Cable Egress: The unit hangs vertically on one sidewall, radiating horizontally and leaving the tank base open for drainage.
- Opposed Dual Sidewall Mount: Two units mount on opposing sidewalls, radiating inward from both sides.
- Base Mount with Through-Wall Side Bulkhead: The unit rests on the tank base with the cable exiting through a liquid-tight bulkhead fitting in the lower sidewall.
- Sidewall Mount with Sidewall Bulkhead: The unit mounts flush to the wall with the cable exiting directly through a liquid-tight wall fitting.
- Top-Mounted Downward Radiating: The unit is suspended near the liquid surface, directing ultrasonic waves downward into the fluid.
Conduit and Cable Egress Styles
Four liquid-tight connection configurations provide safe cable routing in open and enclosed tanks:
- Rigid Pipe Conduit: Solid stainless steel riser pipe that acts as a structural mounting hanger over the tank wall while shielding electrical leads from chemical attack.
- Flexible Armored Conduit: Braided stainless steel protective conduit allowing flexible routing around pipes, agitation headers, and structural obstructions.
- Sidewall Bulkhead Fitting: Liquid-tight threaded penetration and lock nut assembly designed for through-wall cable routing below fluid levels.
- Bottom Bulkhead Fitting: Low-profile, through-tank compression lock nut assembly that exits directly through the base of the tank.
Frequency Selection & Operational Applications
Frequency Guidance
- 28 kHz (Heavy-Duty Cleaning): Produces larger cavitation bubbles with high mechanical impact. Selected for heavy grease removal, scale stripping, rust removal, engine block refurbishment, and raw cast metal processing.
- 40 kHz (Precision Cleaning): Produces higher bubble density with gentle, uniform energy distribution. Selected for precision machined parts, electronic components, PCBs, optical glass, medical instrumentation, and delicate materials.
Industrial Applications
- Surface Preparation: Removing cutting oils, metal chips, stamping grease, carbon deposits, and rust.
- Fluid Processing: Sonochemical extraction, emulsification, dispersing pigments, and dissolving difficult solutes.
- Degassing & Defoaming: Removing entrapped gas bubbles from slurries, polymers, adhesives, and viscous liquids.
- Environmental & Treatment: Algae disruption and biological decontamination.
Industrial Construction & Manufacturing
- Industrial Transducer Arrays: 50 W industrial-grade piezoelectric elements are stud-bolted and chemically bonded to the radiating surface to maximize acoustic transfer.
- Hermetic TIG Welded Construction: Enclosures are constructed with 2.0 mm SUS304 or 2.5 mm SUS316 stainless steel, using continuous TIG welds to prevent leakage under continuous hydrostatic pressure.
- Rigorous Testing: Every completed pack undergoes continuous dry insulation checks, pressure seal verification, and ultrasonic power calibration prior to dispatch.
Packaging & Transport Protection
- Transducer Plates: Sealed in moisture-barrier wrap, lined with shock-absorbent corner foam, and packed in reinforced export wooden crates.
- Digital Generators: Shipped in separate heavy-wall corrugated cartons with custom-molded protective foam inserts.
Quality Certifications & Operating Rules
Certified Standards
- Quality Management: ISO 9001:2015 certified production
- Compliance: CE, RoHS, and FCC compliance certificates
Safe Operating Rules
- Total Submersion Required: Liquid must cover the entire transducer plate prior to startup. Dry operation destroys the internal piezoelectric elements.
- Workpiece Clearance: Maintain at least 2 mm clearance between workpieces or baskets and the radiating face of the plate to prevent plate wear and acoustic decoupling.
- Chemical Compatibility: Use neutral or mild water-soluble detergents with standard SUS304 units. Strong acids or alkalis require SUS316 or titanium construction.
- Thermal Management & Duty Cycle: For continuous industrial production, pause operation periodically (at least 3 minutes of cooling) during prolonged runs to dissipate internal heat.
- Generator Environment: Install digital generators in a dry, ventilated area away from fluid splashing and corrosive fumes.
