Description
Fine-Cleaning Performance for Labware and Precision Components
Operating at 68kHz, this ultrasonic cleaner produces smaller and more evenly distributed cavitation bubbles than lower-frequency units. The gentler cavitation action helps reach micro-grooves, narrow gaps, small openings, and complex surfaces while reducing the impact on delicate components.
It is suitable for removing fine particles, light oil residues, dust, fingerprints, and other contaminants from:
- Laboratory glassware and glass beakers
- Burettes, pipettes, cuvettes, and sample vials
- Small stainless steel and metal components
- Optical components and precision instruments
- Dental instruments and small medical tools
- Small hardware, valves, nozzles, and threaded fasteners
The 68kHz frequency is better suited to fine cleaning than heavy-duty removal of thick grease, heavy rust, large metal particles, or baked-on industrial contamination. For fragile glass, ceramics, soft metals, or coated surfaces, preliminary compatibility testing is recommended.
3.2L Tank for Compact Laboratory Workflows
The 3.2L SUS304 stainless steel tank measures 240 × 135 × 100mm, providing a practical cleaning volume for small laboratory batches and precision components. It is suitable for laboratory-assisted cleaning and beaker applications involving containers up to approximately 500mL, depending on the basket and item dimensions.
The included wire mesh basket helps keep parts separated from the tank surface and supports safer handling during loading and removal. The compact benchtop format is appropriate for laboratories, inspection areas, maintenance benches, research workspaces, and small-batch instrument cleaning.
Adjustable Ultrasonic Power and Operating Functions
The unit provides 0–150W adjustable ultrasonic power through three 50W transducers. This is the ultrasonic output power and is separate from the heating system.
Built-in operating functions include:
- Sweep Frequency: Helps distribute cavitation more evenly throughout the tank.
- Pulse Mode: Provides intermittent high-impact cleaning for more resistant residues.
- Degas Mode: Helps remove dissolved air from the cleaning solution before cleaning.
- Digital Control: Supports clear operation and repeatable process settings.
- Timer: Adjustable from 1 to 9999 seconds.
- Drain Valve: Simplifies liquid removal after use.
Heating Function with Separate 300W Heating Power
The 300W heating system warms the cleaning solution to approximately 20°C–80°C, depending on the initial liquid temperature, operating time, and ambient conditions. It assists the cleaning process by heating the solution but does not provide constant-temperature or thermostatic control.
Because excessive liquid temperature can reduce cavitation efficiency, the operating temperature should be selected according to the cleaning solution, material compatibility, and contamination type. The SUS304 tank and housing provide durable corrosion-resistant construction for routine laboratory cleaning applications.
Box Contents:
- 1 x Professional Ultrasonic Cleaner
- 1 x Durable Mesh Cleaning Basket
- One cover, one power cord, one manual warranty card certificate of conformity.
Packing type:
- One unit filled with thick foam, then standard export corrugated carton or wooden box.

Support & FAQ
Frequency determines cavitation bubble size, impact force, and penetration depth. Lower frequencies produce violent impact for heavy dirt, while higher frequencies provide dense, gentle cleaning for sub-micron microstructures:
• 28kHz: Heavy oil, scale, rust, polishing wax, cutting dust, and thick contaminants (>10μm) on heavy metal/resin parts.
• 40kHz: Universal choice for standard labware, stainless steel, glass, and general maintenance (>10μm particles).
• 68kHz / 80kHz: Fine cleaning for PCBs, watch components, optics, medical instruments, and micro-grooves (5–10μm particles).
• 120kHz: Precision cleaning for micro-blind holes (<0.1mm), semiconductors, ICs, optical lenses, and MEMS (1–5μm particles).
• 200kHz: Ultra-precision cleaning for silicon wafers, MEMS, thin films, and sub-micron / nano-scale contamination (<1μm).
Based on Granbo multi-frequency switchable configurations (Single/Dual/Triple/Quad), we recommend:
| Process | Recommended Frequency | Application Context |
|---|---|---|
| Dispersion | 17-28kHz / 40kHz / 120kHz | 17-28kHz for coarse solid chunks; 40kHz for powders; 120kHz for micro/nano suspensions. |
| Emulsification | 28kHz / 40kHz | 28kHz generates stronger shear force for heavy liquid blending. |
| Extraction | 40kHz / 120kHz | 120kHz is standard for intracellular substance extraction and cell disruption. |
| Mixing/Catalysis | 40kHz / 120kHz | 40kHz for routine mixing; 120kHz for micro-particle homogenization. |
| Synthesis | 80kHz / 120kHz | Prevents molecular degradation during material synthesis. |
| Environmental | 20kHz | High-power sonication for sludge treatment, sewage, and algae disruption. |
To resist cavitation erosion, Granbo customizes tank thickness and welding based on operating frequency:
| Frequency Range | Inner Tank (SUS304) | Outer Shell | Common Tank Capacities & Process |
|---|---|---|---|
| 28kHz - 200kHz | 1.5 mm Thickness | SUS304 (1.0 mm) | 3–10L, 14–22L, 30–58L, 61–135L. Industrial precision stamping & TIG welding. |
| 25kHz | 2.0 mm Thickness | SUS201 (1.0 mm) | Thickened tank; Manual oxy-acetylene heavy welding. |
| 17kHz & 20kHz | 3.0 mm Thickness | SUS201 (1.0 mm) | Ultra-thickened tank; Manual oxy-acetylene heavy welding. |
*Material Safety Tip: Soft metals (aluminum, brass, gold) and delicate glass/ceramics may scratch or fracture at 28kHz. We recommend 40kHz to 80kHz or pre-testing for delicate substrates.
When a workpiece has both stubborn contaminants and sub-micron precision requirements, use a multi-stage approach:
- Stage 1 (Pre-cleaning / 28kHz or 40kHz): Strips heavy grease, rust, polishing paste, scale, or coarse metal particles.
- Stage 2 (Fine Cleaning / 68kHz or 80kHz): Removes fine particles (5–10μm) from blind holes, threads, and complex internal geometry.
- Stage 3 (Ultra-Precision Rinse / 120kHz or 200kHz): Eliminates sub-micron (<1μm) residues without damaging fragile surfaces or thin films.
- Sweep Mode: Automatically sweeps ±1kHz around the center frequency to eliminate standing waves, ensuring uniform cavitation across the bath.
- Degas Mode: Uses pulsed ultrasound intervals (e.g., 5s on / 5s off) to purge dissolved air/gas from liquids—crucial for HPLC sample prep and max cavitation efficiency.
- Pulse Mode: Rapidly cycles power from 100% to 0% to produce a "blasting" impact that removes tough or baked-on residues.
Granbo units utilize Full-Bridge Separately Excited PCB Driver Boards rather than cheap self-excited circuits:
- Visualized Real-time Data: Displays live Power, Frequency, and Current for strict laboratory protocol logging.
- High Power Density: Guarantees a standard ≥ 0.3W/cm² for thorough cleaning. Power Density = Ultrasonic Power (W) / Radiating Area (cm²)
- Low Noise Operation: While 28kHz operation naturally produces more audible mechanical noise, Granbo's multi-layer noise-reduction design enables high-frequency units (≥68kHz) to operate at noise levels below 80dB.
Ultrasonic frequency determines sound wavelength and cavitation bubble collapse intensity:
- 20kHz (λ ≈ 72.5mm): Large bubbles, high collapse force. Best for heavy rust, sludge, and thick scale.
- 40kHz (λ ≈ 36.2mm): Medium bubbles. Ideal balance between cleaning power and component safety.
- 120kHz (λ ≈ 12.0mm): Micro bubbles. High penetration depth for sub-micron cracks and fragile silicon/semiconductor parts.
Beaker Size Matching:
• Beaker ≤ 500mL → 3.2L to 6.5L Tank.
• Beaker ≥ 800mL → 10L to 30L Tank (10L is the most popular size for general lab applications).
Temperature Management:
Ultrasonic activity inherently raises liquid temperature. Although Granbo heating goes up to 80°C, cavitation effectiveness drops significantly above 72°C–80°C due to increased vapor pressure. For temperature-sensitive or low-temp processes, use cooling coils or ice packs in the bath.
Standard production lead times for out-of-stock or customized Granbo models:
- 28kHz - 200kHz Models (Single, Dual, Triple, Quad Frequency): 3 - 5 business days for shipping.
- Ultra-Low Frequency (17kHz, 20kHz, 25kHz): 14 - 20 business days for shipping.
