Description
80kHz High-Frequency Acoustic Cavitation for Delicate Cleaning
Operating at an 80kHz frequency, this benchtop ultrasonic cleaner produces fine acoustic cavitation bubbles designed to clean delicate items without surface erosion. The 80kHz acoustic wave penetrates fine threads and narrow crevices to remove 5–10μm particles and light residues. This controlled cleaning action is suited for delicate labware and precision components, including Nozzles, Burettes, Cuvettes, Pipettes, and Sample Vials.
15L SUS304 Stainless Steel Tank with Integrated Drain
The 15L fluid tank features internal dimensions of 330 x 300 x 150 mm, constructed with a 1.5mm thick SUS304 inner liner and a 1.0mm SUS304 outer housing. An integrated drain valve enables fluid removal, while the included wire cleaning mesh basket prevents direct contact between items and the tank bottom. The tank dimensions accommodate multi-piece batch processing and delicate glass Flasks, specialized Labware, and delicate instruments requiring non-abrasive Instrument Cleaning.
0–500W Variable Power and Digital Process Control
Powered by ten 50W transducers, the system delivers up to 500W of ultrasonic power with 0–500W digital power adjustment. An English digital control panel provides precision timing settings from 1 to 9999 seconds alongside multi-mode operational settings:
- Degas Mode: Employs pulsed ultrasonic cycles to remove dissolved gases from cleaning solutions, supporting Solvent Degassing and fluid preparation.
- Sweep Mode: Continuously modulates the central 80kHz frequency by ±1kHz to eliminate standing waves and distribute ultrasonic energy uniformly across the entire bath.
- Pulse Mode: Rapidly toggles output power from 100% to 0% to generate intermittent impact for gentle particle displacement during Cell Disruption and sample processing.
1000W Auxiliary Heating and Low-Noise Cabinet Design
A 1000W heating element assists solution cleaning efficiency across a setting range of 20°C to 80°C. Note: Heating function provides auxiliary fluid heating and does not maintain thermostatic temperature control. Combining high-frequency acoustics with multi-layer cabinet sound dampening, operational sound levels remain under 80dB for quiet laboratory and workshop environments.

Support & FAQ
Frequency determines cavitation bubble size, impact force, and penetration depth. Lower frequencies produce violent impact for heavy dirt, while higher frequencies provide dense, gentle cleaning for sub-micron microstructures:
• 28kHz: Heavy oil, scale, rust, polishing wax, cutting dust, and thick contaminants (>10μm) on heavy metal/resin parts.
• 40kHz: Universal choice for standard labware, stainless steel, glass, and general maintenance (>10μm particles).
• 68kHz / 80kHz: Fine cleaning for PCBs, watch components, optics, medical instruments, and micro-grooves (5–10μm particles).
• 120kHz: Precision cleaning for micro-blind holes (<0.1mm), semiconductors, ICs, optical lenses, and MEMS (1–5μm particles).
• 200kHz: Ultra-precision cleaning for silicon wafers, MEMS, thin films, and sub-micron / nano-scale contamination (<1μm).
Based on Granbo multi-frequency switchable configurations (Single/Dual/Triple/Quad), we recommend:
| Process | Recommended Frequency | Application Context |
|---|---|---|
| Dispersion | 17-28kHz / 40kHz / 120kHz | 17-28kHz for coarse solid chunks; 40kHz for powders; 120kHz for micro/nano suspensions. |
| Emulsification | 28kHz / 40kHz | 28kHz generates stronger shear force for heavy liquid blending. |
| Extraction | 40kHz / 120kHz | 120kHz is standard for intracellular substance extraction and cell disruption. |
| Mixing/Catalysis | 40kHz / 120kHz | 40kHz for routine mixing; 120kHz for micro-particle homogenization. |
| Synthesis | 80kHz / 120kHz | Prevents molecular degradation during material synthesis. |
| Environmental | 20kHz | High-power sonication for sludge treatment, sewage, and algae disruption. |
To resist cavitation erosion, Granbo customizes tank thickness and welding based on operating frequency:
| Frequency Range | Inner Tank (SUS304) | Outer Shell | Common Tank Capacities & Process |
|---|---|---|---|
| 28kHz - 200kHz | 1.5 mm Thickness | SUS304 (1.0 mm) | 3–10L, 14–22L, 30–58L, 61–135L. Industrial precision stamping & TIG welding. |
| 25kHz | 2.0 mm Thickness | SUS201 (1.0 mm) | Thickened tank; Manual oxy-acetylene heavy welding. |
| 17kHz & 20kHz | 3.0 mm Thickness | SUS201 (1.0 mm) | Ultra-thickened tank; Manual oxy-acetylene heavy welding. |
*Material Safety Tip: Soft metals (aluminum, brass, gold) and delicate glass/ceramics may scratch or fracture at 28kHz. We recommend 40kHz to 80kHz or pre-testing for delicate substrates.
When a workpiece has both stubborn contaminants and sub-micron precision requirements, use a multi-stage approach:
- Stage 1 (Pre-cleaning / 28kHz or 40kHz): Strips heavy grease, rust, polishing paste, scale, or coarse metal particles.
- Stage 2 (Fine Cleaning / 68kHz or 80kHz): Removes fine particles (5–10μm) from blind holes, threads, and complex internal geometry.
- Stage 3 (Ultra-Precision Rinse / 120kHz or 200kHz): Eliminates sub-micron (<1μm) residues without damaging fragile surfaces or thin films.
- Sweep Mode: Automatically sweeps ±1kHz around the center frequency to eliminate standing waves, ensuring uniform cavitation across the bath.
- Degas Mode: Uses pulsed ultrasound intervals (e.g., 5s on / 5s off) to purge dissolved air/gas from liquids—crucial for HPLC sample prep and max cavitation efficiency.
- Pulse Mode: Rapidly cycles power from 100% to 0% to produce a "blasting" impact that removes tough or baked-on residues.
Granbo units utilize Full-Bridge Separately Excited PCB Driver Boards rather than cheap self-excited circuits:
- Visualized Real-time Data: Displays live Power, Frequency, and Current for strict laboratory protocol logging.
- High Power Density: Guarantees a standard ≥ 0.3W/cm² for thorough cleaning. Power Density = Ultrasonic Power (W) / Radiating Area (cm²)
- Low Noise Operation: While 28kHz operation naturally produces more audible mechanical noise, Granbo's multi-layer noise-reduction design enables high-frequency units (≥68kHz) to operate at noise levels below 80dB.
Ultrasonic frequency determines sound wavelength and cavitation bubble collapse intensity:
- 20kHz (λ ≈ 72.5mm): Large bubbles, high collapse force. Best for heavy rust, sludge, and thick scale.
- 40kHz (λ ≈ 36.2mm): Medium bubbles. Ideal balance between cleaning power and component safety.
- 120kHz (λ ≈ 12.0mm): Micro bubbles. High penetration depth for sub-micron cracks and fragile silicon/semiconductor parts.
Beaker Size Matching:
• Beaker ≤ 500mL → 3.2L to 6.5L Tank.
• Beaker ≥ 800mL → 10L to 30L Tank (10L is the most popular size for general lab applications).
Temperature Management:
Ultrasonic activity inherently raises liquid temperature. Although Granbo heating goes up to 80°C, cavitation effectiveness drops significantly above 72°C–80°C due to increased vapor pressure. For temperature-sensitive or low-temp processes, use cooling coils or ice packs in the bath.
Standard production lead times for out-of-stock or customized Granbo models:
- 28kHz - 200kHz Models (Single, Dual, Triple, Quad Frequency): 3 - 5 business days for shipping.
- Ultra-Low Frequency (17kHz, 20kHz, 25kHz): 14 - 20 business days for shipping.
*Note: Customizations like RS-485 communication or PLC integration may slightly adjust delivery timelines. Contact us for precise scheduling.
