Description
Deep-Tank High-Frequency Ultrasonic Bath for Precision Laboratory Beakers and Flasks Processing
The Granbo 14L High-Frequency Ultrasonic Cleaner features a deep-tank design (inner dimensions: 300 x 240 x 200 mm) that is ideal for vertically immersing longer laboratory vessels and instruments. Operating at a high frequency of 130kHz, this system produces extremely fine and dense cavitation bubbles. These microbubbles excel at penetrating micro-grooves, ultra-fine crevices, and blind holes to remove sub-micron particles measuring 1 to 5 microns. Because the physical impact is highly minimized at this frequency, the system cleans delicate items without the risk of surface scratches or micro-fractures, making it highly suitable for cleaning laboratory beakers, flasks, burettes, pipettes, cuvettes, and sensitive laboratory glassware.
Constructed from durable 1.5mm thick SUS304 stainless steel, the tank resists cavitation erosion over long-term use. The system is driven by 8 high-performance transducers delivering up to 480W of adjustable ultrasonic power. It also includes an integrated 600W heating system with an adjustable temperature range of 20°C to 80°C to assist in chemical activation and cleaning efficiency. (Note: The heating function is designed for auxiliary heating and does not feature constant-temperature control). This high-frequency bath is also highly effective for laboratory-assisted applications, including beaker sample preparation, solvent degassing, and the dispersion and homogenization of micro-particles.
Advanced Functional Modes for Versatile Laboratory Processing
- Sweep Mode: Automatically modulates the frequency by ±1kHz around the 130kHz center to eliminate standing waves, ensuring uniform cavitation distribution throughout the bath and protecting delicate parts from localized energy hotspots.
- Degas Mode: Employs pulsed ultrasonic intervals to remove dissolved air and gases from liquids, which is highly beneficial for solvent degassing and maximizing cavitation efficiency.
- Pulse Mode: Cycles the ultrasonic power rapidly to create a high-impact blasting effect for removing persistent residues.
- Power Regulation (0-480W): Allows operators to precisely adjust the ultrasonic power density to match the fragility of the workload, preventing damage to sensitive components.
Engineered for Low-Noise and User-Friendly Operation
Operating at 130kHz naturally ensures a much quieter cleaning process compared to low-frequency systems. Combined with Granbo’s multi-layer noise-reduction design, the system minimizes mechanical vibrations and running noise, maintaining a comfortable and quiet laboratory environment. The user interface features a clear digital display for precise timer settings from 1 to 9999 seconds, showing real-time frequency and power. The unit is equipped with a manual drain valve for convenient fluid replacement and comes with a secure wire cleaning mesh basket to protect parts during instrument cleaning, degassing, and mixing operations.

Support & FAQ
Frequency determines cavitation bubble size, impact force, and penetration depth. Lower frequencies produce violent impact for heavy dirt, while higher frequencies provide dense, gentle cleaning for sub-micron microstructures:
• 28kHz: Heavy oil, scale, rust, polishing wax, cutting dust, and thick contaminants (>10μm) on heavy metal/resin parts.
• 40kHz: Universal choice for standard labware, stainless steel, glass, and general maintenance (>10μm particles).
• 68kHz / 80kHz: Fine cleaning for PCBs, watch components, optics, medical instruments, and micro-grooves (5–10μm particles).
• 120kHz: Precision cleaning for micro-blind holes (<0.1mm), semiconductors, ICs, optical lenses, and MEMS (1–5μm particles).
• 200kHz: Ultra-precision cleaning for silicon wafers, MEMS, thin films, and sub-micron / nano-scale contamination (<1μm).
Based on Granbo multi-frequency switchable configurations (Single/Dual/Triple/Quad), we recommend:
| Process | Recommended Frequency | Application Context |
|---|---|---|
| Dispersion | 17-28kHz / 40kHz / 120kHz | 17-28kHz for coarse solid chunks; 40kHz for powders; 120kHz for micro/nano suspensions. |
| Emulsification | 28kHz / 40kHz | 28kHz generates stronger shear force for heavy liquid blending. |
| Extraction | 40kHz / 120kHz | 120kHz is standard for intracellular substance extraction and cell disruption. |
| Mixing/Catalysis | 40kHz / 120kHz | 40kHz for routine mixing; 120kHz for micro-particle homogenization. |
| Synthesis | 80kHz / 120kHz | Prevents molecular degradation during material synthesis. |
| Environmental | 20kHz | High-power sonication for sludge treatment, sewage, and algae disruption. |
To resist cavitation erosion, Granbo customizes tank thickness and welding based on operating frequency:
| Frequency Range | Inner Tank (SUS304) | Outer Shell | Common Tank Capacities & Process |
|---|---|---|---|
| 28kHz - 200kHz | 1.5 mm Thickness | SUS304 (1.0 mm) | 3–10L, 14–22L, 30–58L, 61–135L. Industrial precision stamping & TIG welding. |
| 25kHz | 2.0 mm Thickness | SUS201 (1.0 mm) | Thickened tank; Manual oxy-acetylene heavy welding. |
| 17kHz & 20kHz | 3.0 mm Thickness | SUS201 (1.0 mm) | Ultra-thickened tank; Manual oxy-acetylene heavy welding. |
*Material Safety Tip: Soft metals (aluminum, brass, gold) and delicate glass/ceramics may scratch or fracture at 28kHz. We recommend 40kHz to 80kHz or pre-testing for delicate substrates.
When a workpiece has both stubborn contaminants and sub-micron precision requirements, use a multi-stage approach:
- Stage 1 (Pre-cleaning / 28kHz or 40kHz): Strips heavy grease, rust, polishing paste, scale, or coarse metal particles.
- Stage 2 (Fine Cleaning / 68kHz or 80kHz): Removes fine particles (5–10μm) from blind holes, threads, and complex internal geometry.
- Stage 3 (Ultra-Precision Rinse / 120kHz or 200kHz): Eliminates sub-micron (<1μm) residues without damaging fragile surfaces or thin films.
- Sweep Mode: Automatically sweeps ±1kHz around the center frequency to eliminate standing waves, ensuring uniform cavitation across the bath.
- Degas Mode: Uses pulsed ultrasound intervals (e.g., 5s on / 5s off) to purge dissolved air/gas from liquids—crucial for HPLC sample prep and max cavitation efficiency.
- Pulse Mode: Rapidly cycles power from 100% to 0% to produce a "blasting" impact that removes tough or baked-on residues.
Granbo units utilize Full-Bridge Separately Excited PCB Driver Boards rather than cheap self-excited circuits:
- Visualized Real-time Data: Displays live Power, Frequency, and Current for strict laboratory protocol logging.
- High Power Density: Guarantees a standard ≥ 0.3W/cm² for thorough cleaning. Power Density = Ultrasonic Power (W) / Radiating Area (cm²)
- Low Noise Operation: While 28kHz operation naturally produces more audible mechanical noise, Granbo's multi-layer noise-reduction design enables high-frequency units (≥68kHz) to operate at noise levels below 80dB.
Ultrasonic frequency determines sound wavelength and cavitation bubble collapse intensity:
- 20kHz (λ ≈ 72.5mm): Large bubbles, high collapse force. Best for heavy rust, sludge, and thick scale.
- 40kHz (λ ≈ 36.2mm): Medium bubbles. Ideal balance between cleaning power and component safety.
- 120kHz (λ ≈ 12.0mm): Micro bubbles. High penetration depth for sub-micron cracks and fragile silicon/semiconductor parts.
Beaker Size Matching:
• Beaker ≤ 500mL → 3.2L to 6.5L Tank.
• Beaker ≥ 800mL → 10L to 30L Tank (10L is the most popular size for general lab applications).
Temperature Management:
Ultrasonic activity inherently raises liquid temperature. Although Granbo heating goes up to 80°C, cavitation effectiveness drops significantly above 72°C–80°C due to increased vapor pressure. For temperature-sensitive or low-temp processes, use cooling coils or ice packs in the bath.
Standard production lead times for out-of-stock or customized Granbo models:
- 28kHz - 200kHz Models (Single, Dual, Triple, Quad Frequency): 3 - 5 business days for shipping.
- Ultra-Low Frequency (17kHz, 20kHz, 25kHz): 14 - 20 business days for shipping.
*Note: Customizations like RS-485 communication or PLC integration may slightly adjust delivery timelines. Contact us for precise scheduling.
